Membership Categories
In July of 2006, the ACAF Board of Directors approved the expansion of the Associate Membership Category and the addition of a new Membership Category, entitled Affiliate Members. The current matrix of eligible companies for Association Membership is divided into three categories: Regular Members, Associate Members, and Affiliate Members.

Regular Membership is limited to:
- Hot mix producing asphalt plants

Associate Membership is limited to:
- Asphalt and bituminous material suppliers
- Aggregate producers and suppliers
- Milling Contractors
- Special Materials

Affiliate Membership is limited to:
- Striping and Pavement Marking Contractors
- Maintenance of Traffic Suppliers
- Testing Laboratories
- Liquid Binder / Aggregate Haulers
- Insurance/Surety Companies
- Advanced Technology Laydown Equipment Suppliers
- Asphalt plant and laydown equipment manufacturers / dealers
Any company seeking membership in the Association must write the Association or complete an application form and submit it to the Association along with the Initiation Fee for consideration of the Board of Directors.
Dues Structure by Membership Type
Initiation fees and dues structure was last modified and became effective on October 1, 2005. Previously, the last change in the dues structure had been in 1997.

Regular Members:
Initiation Fee = $1,000
Dues: up to 300,000 tons = $0.05 per ton
Billed Monthly, Minimum $3,000 / Maximum of $15,000
No Renewal Fee

Associate Members:
Initiation Fee = $1,000
Dues: $7,500 per year for Asphalt/Bituminous Material Suppliers & Aggregate Producers/Suppliers
Dues: $2,500 per year for Milling Contractors & Special Materials
Billed lump sum, Semi Annually or Quarterly
No Renewal Fee
