Alexis Stewart, PE

Alexis Stewart, P.E., has been the Assistant Public Works Director/City Engineer, for the City of Oviedo/FL for the past 11 years. Some of her responsibilities at the City include staff supervision, project management, operational procedures, and coordination of Capital Improvement Projects for water, wastewater, reclaimed, stormwater, and resurfacing. Ms. Stewart has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Central Florida and is a licensed professional engineer with over 30 years of relevant project experience in water, wastewater, reclaimed pipeline, plant design and construction. Prior to working for the City of Oviedo, Ms. Stewart worked at three major consulting engineering firms listed in ENR Top 500 Design Firms. Ms. Stewart is an active participant in the engineering community; she supports local professional organizations and serves as Secretary for the Safety Committee Chapter for the Florida Water Environment Association.
