Association Update and Pavement Awards
The Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida continues to work to improve the quality of asphalt in Florida and expand its use. Mark will discuss the initiatives the Association is working on as well as announce the winners of the 2020 Pavement Awards.

Experience with HiMA and Aramid Fibers on the NCAT Pavement Test Track
The NCAT Pavement Test Track has been used by state DOTs to execute innovative, relevant, and implementable research for over 20 years. HiMA binder and aramid fibers are two good examples of technologies that were first used on the Track before being considered for implementation by state agencies. The increased structural contribution of asphalt pavement built with HiMA binder was first proven in the 2009 research cycle, and it is still used today on the Track to build thinner perpetual pavements. Track experience with both these products will be reviewed in this presentation.

The Florida Department of Transportation's Vision for Florida in 2021
The Florida Department of Transportation's Vision for Florida includes Improving Safety, Enhancing Mobility, Inspiring Innovation and Fostering Talent. Assistant Secretary Miller will discuss how these are reflected in the Department's work program beyond 2020 and how the COVID-19 pandemic has changed them. She will discuss the Department's projected resurfacing program and the progress being made on the M-CORES.

FDOT Construction Update
The construction update will cover recent, proposed and potential future changes to the FDOT construction process. And overview of the State's incentive programs and eTicketing venture will also be given.

The State of the Industry
Florida's Asphalt Industry work with the Department will be summarized for 2020. A review of the quantity and quality of our pavements as well as summarized data for districts and contractors is discussed.

The Florida Department of Transportation continues its robust research program looking for innovative ways to improve the performance of our pavements.
