2026 FASP Sporting Clays Recap

On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the Florida Asphalt Scholarship Program (FASP) kicked off its annual Sporting Clays Tournament bright and early, welcoming an impressive field of 115 shooters across 28 teams. Shooters arrived ready to compete, connect with industry peers, and support a meaningful cause, raising scholarship funds for the next generation of asphalt professionals.

This year’s event marked an exciting new chapter, as FASP hosted the tournament for the first time at Blackjack Sporting Clays. The move to a spring date proved to be a strong decision, helping avoid the scheduling conflicts of college football and fall hunting seasons. The result was a well-attended, high-energy event that delivered both on participation and overall experience.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, the tournament raised more than $38,000 in support of the scholarship program. Contributions came from team registrations, event sponsorships, and raffle participation, each playing a key role in the event’s success.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many noting the quality of the new venue and the strong turnout. Based on this year’s momentum, FASP fully expects to return next spring for another successful event.
