FDOT Profiler Equipment Showcase
On October 29, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida (ACAF) co-coordinated the FDOT Profiler Equipment Showcase at FDOT’s State Materials Office (SMO).
The event brought together asphalt contractors, profiler equipment vendors, and FDOT staff for an opportunity to see the latest pavement profiling technologies firsthand. Attendees had the chance to walk around the equipment, ask questions, discuss capabilities, and learn how these technologies could support asphalt pavement smoothness and quality.
A special thank you to Nick Zakoske and Richard Hewitt, P.E., for helping lead the event and facilitate the discussions. We also appreciate the vendors who brought equipment and shared their time and expertise:
Events like this provide a valuable opportunity for contractors and FDOT to connect directly with equipment manufacturers, learn about available technologies, and continue conversations around pavement quality and smoothness.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the showcase a success!
